The Elopement Photographer Contract Bundle

The contracts every Adventure Elopement Photographer needs. These include so many important clauses to protect you and your business while out on true adventures in wild places, plus all the standard clauses any wedding photographer would need.

They’re the contracts we use for every elopement, tweaked and perfected over years of working with hundreds of real elopement couples.

We’ve made them fully customizable for your business and CRM of choice, so you can enjoy the same confidence we do with every new booking.

Adventure Elopement Photography Contract: This is our base contract for all full day elopements, and can easily be tweaked for half-day elopements too.

Sunrise+Sunset Elopement Contract: Tweaked from the base contract to specify the details of how coverage for a Sunrise+Sunset day works.

Backpacking Elopement Contract: Tweaked from the base contract to include additional clauses unique to a backpacking adventure.

Double Day Adventure Elopement Contract: Tweaked from the base contract to specify how/where/when the second day of coverage may take place.

Adventure Session Contract: An adventurous engagement/couples shoot contract.

Contract Addendums: Sometimes the terms of the original contract need to be changed if a couple upgrades their original package. These addendums simplify sending out a whole new contract.

  • Elopement Planning: Details how it will work and what’s included.
  • Contracted Hours of Coverage: When does “coverage” start and end for an elopement? Is drive time part of the coverage? Does coverage end at sunset while you’re still on top of the mountain? Or after you’ve hiked back to the cars?…These details are so important to explicitly define upfront so you can put together timelines without any pushback from couples.
  • Guests: This is a big one! Total guest count impacts so much of an elopement day; How you plan the timeline, permits, which locations you can visit…it can be a nightmare when a couple surprises you by mentioning their guest count has tripled. Yikes. Can’t stress this one enough.
  • Waiver and Release of Liability; Assumption of Risk: Mandatory language for any adventure elopement. We basically told our lawyer, “we want what skydiving instructors use.”
  • Trail Selection: Empowers you, and only you, as having the final say on which trail(s) you visit on the elopement day. No couples saying, “but I reallllly want to do this 14 mile hike with 5,000 ft elevation gain!” Yeah, no.
  • Package Add-Ons: Explains upgrade options and pricing so all parties are in agreement on those terms right off the bat.
  • Travel Fees: What’s included in the package price for your (the photographer) travel fees and what’s considered above and beyond. So important for many remote locations or special activities like heli flights, kayak rentals, Jeep rentals, etc.
  • Pricing and Schedule of Payments: What’s non-refundable? When are payments due? How are payments to be made? Who pays for permits? Just a few of the details laid out in this ultra-important clause.
  • Cancellation and Rescheduling: Defines exactly how cancelling/rescheduling works and the associated fees.

Plus so many more clauses to protect both you, your business, and your couple every step of the way:

  • Client Information
  • Elopement Information
  • Nature of Services
